Chilly days can be so refreshing in a place with year round mild weather like Southern California. Since the nature of Winter fashion involves layers, cooler days allow for a bit more creativity when it comes to putting together an outfit. I love playing with layers since the look can either end up monochromatic and minimalist or full of patterns and colors.
In this look, I explore mixing two of my favorites: leopard print and graphic tees.
I got this coat (similar here) about a year ago and it’s something I look forward to wearing every time the temperatures drop. When looking for a graphic tee to go with the coat, I made sure to look for a similar color scheme – warm colors, creams, and black. I kept the black consistent with a black belt, bag, and over the knee boots. Check out other graphic tees that would work with this look here and here. This outfit would work with black pants as well but I chose to add a little more color with medium wash blue jeans.
I love the playful, rocker look of this outfit! The mixing of patterns with the floral on the shirt and the leopard of the coat gives the look an unexpected twist.
Playing around with layers is especially fun when the weather gets chilly. Mixing and matching cardigans, sweaters, tees, and everything else in my closet to create new Winter outfits is becoming one of my favorite pastimes. Thanks so much for reading and I look forward to having you back!
