While the backless trend is still heavily popular, I’m starting to notice an increasing amount of tops with cute back details. These include bows at the back of the neck, corset-style tie backs, strategically placed cutouts, and buttons down the back (as I’m wearing here).
I got this particular top (see it in navy here) from Anthropologie and I LOVE it. Aside from the adorable back detail, the top also features these loose, flowey sleeves that flatteringly move with the arms. The delicate vertical stripes are a nice rose gold metallic color and they give the shirt such a romantic, pretty feel.
I paired this top with some simple high waisted Levi shorts and some black booties. I like keeping the look minimal so the button back focal point can stand out.
Below are a few other button back shirts that I’m loving at the moment.
I love how this style can be worn either buttoned or unbuttoned (as seen above) so as to show off the bottom half of the outfit. I can’t wait to wear this trend more in the Summer and to experiment with Fall transitions.
Thanks so much for reading!
