Ah, plaid pants. They provide comfort, versatility, and stylish pattern to all who wear them. My love affair with plaid pants is fairly new. I was hesitant to give them a try until I actually took a pair to the dressing room. When I tried them on, I instantly fell in love with how they fit, felt, and looked. The style I gravitate to the most is high waisted and structured with the bottoms tapered in. Bonus points if there’s a tie at the top.

The one problem I encounter with plaid pants is that a good pair is surprisingly hard to come by. SO I’ve decided to put together a shopping guide in case you guys have run into the same issue. See below for my shoppable list:

Gilt – Bowery Plaid Pants

Azalea – Ruffle Tie Waist Plaid Pants

TopShop – Checked Peg Pants

Shein – Self Tie Plaid Pants

Lulus – Good Girls Go Plaid Cropped Pants

ACNE STUDIOS – Trea Straight-Leg Checked Trousers

TopShop – Ruffle Checked Peg Trouser

Malene Birger – Lorrany Checked Wide-Legged Pants

Rag & Bone – Oman Checked Straight-Legged Pants

Plaid/checked pants are perfect for pairing with simple sweaters for a professional look or tanks and graphic tees for a more dressed down feel. If you’re into mixing patterns (which I’m loving right now), adding plaid to your wardrobe can open up tons of outfit possibilities. Thanks so much for reading and I look forward to having you back. Happy shopping!
