Happy May Day! I can’t believe it’s already May. This year is flying by so fast. The rising temperatures and increasingly crowded beaches have got me excited for Summer (especially Summer fashion). To celebrate the impending changing of the seasons, I wanted to create a look that incorporates my favorite aspects of all four seasons. To create this look, I gleaned inspiration from the rich earthy colors of Fall, the duster jackets of Winter, the floral patterns of Spring, and the minimal coverage of those hot Summer days.
For an added twist, I layered a maroon faux leather skirt (similar here) over the dress. The dress was fitted enough so that it acted as a slip and was comfortable under the skirt. I added a lip stain that complemented the colors in the floral pattern and finished off the look with gold rings and a necklace.
The dress’s keyhole neckline presented the perfect opportunity to layer a necklace underneath. The necklace I’m wearing (similar here) is actually shaped like a Y (there is a part that hangs down from the bottom). I tucked the hanging part into the dress so that the necklace framed the neckline.
This look was perfect for the warm day and offered a little taste of every season. Thanks so much for reading!
