For some reason, as the weather gets warmer, I get less and less tolerant of outfits that require effort. I wear leggings and sweats an offensive amount of times in the Summer and this year I’ve decided to put an end to my lazy ways. It feels good to look semi put together, even if I’m just running errands or grabbing lunch. I wanted to share with you guys an example of an outfit that I would wear on a hot, laid-back day like that.

For this look, I paired this Leith top (similar here) with these high waisted Levis. Check out my post about these jeans here (they’re seriously the best ever). For more coverage, I layered on this super lightweight Beyond Yoga sweater and I finished off the outfit with a western style belt.

One thing I really love about this top is the intricate pattern. It’s not just stripes (see below for a more detailed photo) but it kind of has a zig-zag thing going on.

I’m a fan of playing with coverage during warmer months. Wearing jeans gives me the confidence to rock a crop top whereas shorts would work better (for me) with a longer top. I love this sweater because it can be worn all the way on or casually slung around the arms.

Try “dressing up” a little bit the next time you’re tired of the lazy look. Or keep rocking your sweats. Whatever makes you feel amazing. Thanks for reading and I look forward to having you back!

Warmly,
Nikki
