Location: Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA
This past weekend we took a little day trip up to LA to do some shopping and explore the Melrose/West Hollywood area. We hit all of my favorite shops including Crossroads, Wasteland, The Shop, and Ref Vintage. I found SO many amazing pieces to add to my wardrobe (haul video to come) and I’m really excited to start creating looks.
The weather in Southern CA has been all over the place lately so I decided to go with a versatile outfit for the outing. I’ve been really inspired by stripes lately so I put together a look that centered around a basic striped tee.
I tucked the tee into a black leather mini skirt and layered on a light camel coat (similar here and here) that ties in the warm tones in the stripes. I polished the look off with a gold coin necklace and a deep lip.
Two of my favorite stops were Reformation Vintage and Alfred Tea Room. I always enjoy looking through the unique vintage pieces at Ref and I pretty much always find something I love. This time, I decided on an adorable checked skirt (honorable mention to this navy low back satin dress).
Day trips to LA never fail to result in exciting wardrobe editions and new experiences. I’m excited to share more with you guys! Thanks so much and I look forward to having you back.
