Wearing less clothing in the Summertime means more opportunities for accessories! From straw-inspired pieces to neck ties to decorative slides, I’m loving the incorporation of these accessories in Summer looks.
Below are a few of my favorite trends/accessories.
1) Straw & Basket Bags
These Summer-esque, casual bags are ideal for a day out in the sun or for a day trip. Varied weave patterns and embellishments make each bag design unique. They add a bright, textured pop to any outfit.
2) Gingham Everything
Sometimes lovingly compared to a picnic blanket, this trending pattern exudes nostalgia and femininity. When paired with a billowy, off shoulder silhouette, it takes on a more girly, classic look while something like the sandal gives the gingham more of a playful twist.
3) Tied Bandanas
If you’re new to playing with the whole pattern-on-pattern thing, tying a patterned bandana around your neck is a great accessory to get you started! These can either be paired with solid pieces for a pop of pattern or they can add a complementary pattern to an already busy outfit.
Simple. Easy. Fast. What more could you ask for in a Summer staple? Slides have become my go-to shoe this season (even more so than flip flops). This look is slightly more elevated than flip flops but they’re just as easy and comfortable.
Thank you so much for reading! I would love to see if any of my favorite Summer accessories are also yours. Follow me on Instagram (@nikki_acuna) and tag me in a photo of you wearing one (or all) of these looks!
