Our trip to Rome was equal parts scheduled tours and aimless… roaming (lol). This was an amazing way to see the city. The tours provided a framework for our days and ensured that we saw the big landmarks while our free time was spent wandering around rambling cobblestone side streets.
“Rome is not like any other city. It’s a big museum, a living room that must be crossed on ones tiptoes.” – Alberto Sorti
A few highlights included the incredibly intricate Sistine Chapel, the iconic Trevi Fountain, and the Colosseum (we toured it at night which made it even more surreal).
This outfit had to play multiple roles because 1) it was hot and humid 2) knees and shoulders must be covered in the Sistine Chapel and 3) it had to be comfortable enough to walk around in all day. I chose to tuck a black V-neck into a lightweight navy midi skirt and finish it off with simple black sandals.
I am so grateful that I got to tour this beautiful place and I can’t wait for my next trip. Thanks for reading and I look forward to having you back!
